What is Black Lives Matter?

Why are people protesting?

Protests are taking place across the USA and the World as a response to the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Bothem Jean, Stephon Clark, Renisha McBridge, Christian Cooper, and far too many more.

The movement is “meant to intentionally disrupt the work week… in observance of the long-standing racism and inequality that exists from the boardroom to the boulevard."

What can I do to help eradicate racism in my community?

Start a conversation. Discuss the movement with your family or friends, and discuss what happened and how we can improve. Talking about an issue will not only bring awareness but can create a deeper understanding of how to be anti-racist.

Showing empathy is not enough. To truly help make a change we must all be actively anti-racist.
